So in my random stumblings around the internet, I happened across these pictures… The original Post (along with more pictures of this talented art) can be found here.

Ok, so first off, I’ve been lazy as hell with getting on here and posting ever since I got back from vacation. Sorry about that folks. I will be much better, promise!

Ok, now that’s out of the way, I wanted to post this picture. I took this one by sliding my phone down into a crack in the rocks about 4 inches wide by able 8 inches deep, and snapped the picture. The look I was going for was to have it seem the picture was taken while standing at the base of a massive gorge, and I think it really worked! I will definitely be posting a couple other photos from my vacation as well! BTW, this picture was taken on the rocks in front of the Marblehead Lighthouse (which for you random facts buffs out there, is the oldest continually operational lighthouse on all the great lakes!)

The 'Haze' is actually a spider-web.

So here I am, on the Marblehead Penninsula, actually sitting in a hot dog restaurant called Gateway (I missed Gateway), and it’s the only place I could find that had free wifi, so here I sit updating for my one and only time connecting to the civilized world during this, my Jimmy Buffett style vacation. Things have been fantastic! Weather has been fantastic, water has been warm (have spent a bit of time swimming), the beers are cold, and the isolation has been a dream. So as I was sitting on the dock fishing the other day, with my cooler of beers by my side, I snapped quite a cool shot.

Fishing

Ok, so when most of us think of creativity, we probably don’t think of working on our cars. Last year I snagged a tall rock and shattered my belt cover on the under carriage of my car, which, in turn, shredded my belts. The replacement part is $300 plus $95/hr labor. I couldn’t find the part at any salvage yards and decided to take it off and try to fix it myself. Using only parts found in my garage, I was able to successfully fix it up, and man is it solid now! :-) Parts used are: Two L-Brackets, One Beam Bracket, One Mend Plate, and approximately 24 Bolts, Washers, and Lock Washers. Here are the finished results.
